Marjorie Barstow was the first graduate of F. M. Alexander’s first training course in 1934. She is regarded as an iconic first-generation teacher. I had the pleasure of learning with her at the International Alexander Conference in 1991, held in Switzerland. She was 92 at the time and suffering from severe osteoporosis.
